Congratulations to our 2015 Miss Bluebonnet Days Pageant Winners!
Thank you to those of you who came out and supported the youth of Kenedy competing in our 2015 Miss Bluebonnet Days Pageant! It was a night full of glamour, laughter and a lot of fun! We are thrilled to announce our Queen and her court. Kerry Schmidt took the crown as our 2015-2016 Miss Bluebonnet Days Queen, winning a $1,000 scholarship from the Kenedy Chamber of Commerce. First runner-up, receiving a $750 scholarship was Madison Gonzales, and 2nd runner-up was Jade Rossilli, who was given a $500 scholarship as well. Julissa Prieto was the overall winner in our junior division and is now our 2015-2016 Junior Miss Bluebonnet Days. Last but not least, Luke Riojas and Adelina Rose Solis stole our hearts and the titles of this year’s Little Mr. and Little Miss Bluebonnet Days. We also want to extend a thank you to Kaitlyn Avery Trevino, Jim Hogg County’s Jr. Miss 1st Runner Up, for her wonderful performance during the pageant. Thank you to everyone who attended and helped with this event, it would not have been possible without you!
Don’t forget, Kenedy’s annual Bluebonnet Days is quickly approaching! The festival will begin this Friday, May 1st and continue throughout the night of Saturday the 2nd ending with a show stopping performance by none other than Kevin Fowler! There will also be an appearance by our Queen and her Court during the parade on Saturday that begins at 11 AM. Come out to support the winners, the chamber, and the wonderful town of Kenedy!
