Town Topics: “A ‘Booming’ Community!”

The Runge Chamber of Commerce celebrated Independence Day in a big way, organizing a festival for their town and the surrounding area on Saturday, July 4th. This year’s fireworks show was a hit, as they had more fireworks than ever before. The sky was sparkling for what seemed like ages, and it was apparent that the citizens of Karnes County were thoroughly enjoying their holiday. We would like to thank the Runge Chamber for putting on such a successful event and allowing the Kenedy Chamber to be a part of it.

The Kenedy Chamber would love for you to join them at this month’s Second Friday Community Breakfast, hosted by Accolade Homecare and Hospice in Runge. It will be held at the First Baptist Church on Reiffert Street at 7:00 AM. Everyone in the community is welcome to enjoy a free early morning breakfast alongside business owners, city officials, and fellow community members. This is the perfect time to network and receive updates on our community and the surrounding areas.

Mark your calendars for 3 upcoming ribbon cuttings! On Wednesday July 22nd, the Wood Group Training Center will be celebrating their much anticipated Grand Opening at 8:00 AM with a ribbon cutting ceremony and a tour of the facility. Later that same day, American Investments Planners and Oehlke CPA, PLLC will be holding a joint ribbon cutting ceremony at 5:30 PM. Everyone is welcome to attend both events. “Like” us on facebook at www.facebook/ for frequent community updates.
